General Shipyard Helper Program


The Tidewater Maritime Training Institute (TMTI) program has been operated successfully by the South Tidewater Association of Ship Repairers (STASR) in Norfolk, VA. for over 20 years. The TMTI program, which was founded by METRO’s President, is the only source of entry level shipyard workers in Norfolk graduating up to 200 General Shipyard Helpers each year.
